Why wont my scroll wheel work??

Could be either. Check the settings for it through the device manager in you control panel. You may try reinstalling the drivers if that doesn't help, then maybe get a new one. They're pretty cheap nowadays.
The best thing to do is to un-install the software and re-install it again. Then restart the computer and hopefully it should work for you. If that does not work bring it back to the place you purchased it and get another one .
Sounds like the mouse software. It being from Logitech, it probably came with a CD. the CD and make sure the mouse software is running correctly. The hardware should be working properly.
also you might want to go to the control panel than select the mouse icon and see if the scrool wheel has been enabled or not. it could just be a case of checking the box and off you go.

Something else you may want to try is getting a can of air and "blow" it out. If you have had it a while, it may be clogged with dust.
The scroll wheel may have broken, or the detector inside the mouse may no longer work properly. I would buy a new mouse, that will fix the problem.
