Hey all, I installed a Hitachi Deskstar 7K160 reacently but I can't seem to find out how to format it. I already have a hard drive in the system running windows. It is on the device manager, but that's all that I can see. How do I format through windows or using a program? Thanks!
Answer:
Go to the Administrative Tools>> Computer Management>> Disk Management. It will allow you to create a partition and then format the drive. Format it as a NTFS.
Actually if you can see the drive from MyComputer you can right click and select the format option there.
