Realtek AC '97 Audio not working in Windows Vista?

I have installed all the necessary drivers acording to the sound chip manufacturer to get it working. The sound chip came on my 64 bit motherboard. It won't work even with the correct drivers installed. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I should be doing that I'm not? Plz help.

Answer:

Vista isn't compatible with all hardware and software yet. It will improve but it will take time.
