The simply thing you have need of to keep an eye on is to buy medium the same format as the writer you're buying.
There is DVD -R. DVD +R. DVD +/-R, DVD-RAM and it's adjectives a little bit silly.
Truth is, most modern writers will do adjectives disks but just pay attention and make sure.
any brand will fit. u hold 2 install the cd that comes with the writer. i suggest u rob lg or samsung

internal dvdrw are essentially universal as others enjoy said do not buy cheap you get what you compensate for
you can use any brand kat,as long as it will fit in your drive bay but as nearly all drive bay are the same size this isnt a problem
you shouldnt hold to pay much more than lb20 for a wearing clothes dvdrw drive,and thats with lightscribe technology(etches a design on the upside of your disk after burning)
lite-on and nec are the best make and you shoulnt go for anything smaller quantity than 16 x speed dvd writing speed

however why not wait for a couple of years until dvd blueray drives drop contained by price,there around lb400 at the moment but so where on earth dvd writers when they first came out

any brand will fit and i recommend a Benq dvd burning drive. They work close to a charm and be sure to only use Quality DVD + or - R approaching verbatim for the best quality burn. I bought an LG and it's a piece of crap. The Benq be half the price.
