Dvd writers?
Answer:
Any brand with the right connection (IDE) will fit.
The only thing you need to keep an eye on is to buy media the same format as the writer you're buying.
There is DVD -R. DVD +R. DVD +/-R, DVD-RAM and it's all a little bit silly.
Truth is, most modern writers will do all disks but just be careful and make sure.
any brand will fit. u have 2 install the cd that comes with the writer. i suggest u take lg or samsung
no any brand will do but don't go and buy cheep ****
if it is a pc no trouble
if it is a laptop you may have to be precise -
there are only a few makers of burners so you may find that the model in your computer is a 3rd party
any brand will fit, but make sure you put the jumper connections on the back of dvd writer in the same place as the one you take off. or may have problems.
i use nero
First of all you have to know what kind of PC you have , if it is in a ATX* case then any standard Writer will fit .
Secondly , you have to beware of the type of connetors you have on your motherboard IDE ATA* or SATA* this is very important .
Last of all take the time to understand what kind of DVDs you want to make cuz there are a few types ...
* if you do not understand these words ask someone who knows
Any brand will do but also look at what software comes with the dvd writer - sometimes you can get some nice extras
internal dvdrw are mainly universal as others have said do not buy cheap you get what you pay for
you can use any brand kat,as long as it will fit in your drive bays but as nearly all drive bays are the same size this isnt a problem
you shouldnt have to pay much more than £20 for a decent dvdrw drive, and thats with lightscribe technology(etches a design on the upside of your disk after burning)
lite-on and nec are the best makes and you shoulnt go for anything less than 16 x speed dvd writing speed
the LiteON 16x Lightscribe Saw Bare Drive Beige (http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/sear... a excellent inexpensive dvd writer with lightscribe technology, and with 16x speed it has good writing speed ,this is about as good as it gets for the price range
however why not wait for a couple of years until dvd blueray drives drop in price, there around £400 at the moment but so where dvd writers when they first came out
i hope this helps
good luck!
any brand will fit and i recommend a Benq dvd burning drive. They work like a charm and be sure to only use Quality DVD + or - R like verbatim for the best quality burn. I bought an LG and it's a piece of crap. The Benq was half the price.
