My friend had brought over his copy of XP Pro, and the trial period wore off, and I would rather keep using my copy of XP Home which is still installed. Is there any way to get rid of Pro if I don't have the CD?
Answer:
If you want to remove it from the windows boot menu, here are the instructions to edit it:

You basically just need to edit the C:\boot.ini file and delete the line with pro on it and make sure the default line has the right partition information.
If you want to physically remove it from the disk you will need to use partitioning software to remove or delete the partition.
