Why did my dvd drive stop working it will not read eany disk?

In many condition drive stop working >>> broken disk DVD/VCD , drive lens is dusty , Probably there may be a data bus/power cable loose connection inside u'r cpu., virus infected your computer and erased the device..
I would advice to have a service.. From your dealer

It may just be old and ready to retire. Call the manufacturer and see if it's covered under warranty. Their tech support may also be able to help you fix it.
Consult with a hardware technician noone can help about that here.
I'm going to go out on a limb here, ... maybe it's broke.
