Would updating my drivers erase any of my computer information?

i need to update my usb drivers so they will work, but want to know if this will erase any programs or information off of my computer. or will it do anything else to the computer i should know about?

Answer:
Not typically. You're simply supplying your computer system with newer software to aid in interfacing.
No it shouldn't
Usually, updating drivers won't erase your info. But, if you want to be on the safe side, back up your vital info before updating anything on your PC.
No worries.

Drivers are small programs that help Windows communicate with the hardware. Your data and other programs are safe.
no never, no need to do any backup. updating you driver will not cause any data loss.
