Having a DVD player connect to computer?

my CPU doesnt have a DVD rom. I have a DVD player. is it possible to connect the DVD player into monitor and how

Answers:
i think u would need a videocard with a video in ... or a capture card .. or a tv tuner card ..
I suppose you could connect the DVD player to the monitor, but there isn't a way to use your DVD player as a DVD ROM if thats what your asking. You would have to get some conversion from HDMI, VGA, or DVI to whatever connection your DVD player uses.
If your asking if you can use the dvd player to watch a dvd on your computer yes...you need a graphics card with a s-vido jack on the back and an s-video cord. You cant use it as a dvd rom drive however.
