I own an HP dvd740i Double layer dvd burner; but suddenly it won't read any blank dvd's or movie dvd's similar to it did before.
Now it lone reads information or music cd's
Has anyone have this evolve before?? Is within a way to fix this?

Answer:
There are two lasers contained by a DVD burner. One for DVDs and one for CDs. If you can't read DVDs then that laser is probably late.
