I have bought a freecom external hard drive, but It says no devices found, any Ideas?

the external hard drive Is plug and play, It goes Into my c:drive It should go In to It's own driver, any Ideas how to get round this??

i have had that problem with the drive not being recognised ,on the 2 occasions it has been a faulty hard drive , so there is every possibility that this is your problem,

ps both hard drives were free com as well
It should be plug and play in XP SP2. Is the LED light turning on when you turn on the switch?
