Maxing out my gameing specs?

This is kind of an odd question but really Iam jw... I have fear and i can run it on Computer- Medium Video Card - Medium or video card- hight computer - low < settings > my system specs are intel pentium 4 2.66 ghz ati raedon x 1300 256 mb ddr2 < PCI > and 512 mb of pc3200 ram and 256 mb of pc2700 ram... well jw if i upgrade to 2gb of high performance pc 3200 ram do you think i will be bale to run Fear on HIGH and HIGH?

Answer:
No, your video card is holding you back. The x1300 is a pretty poor card and is going to be the limiting factor.

If you upgraded to a new video card, then you may see some benefit from more ram after that addition.
sdiver is right, the raedon x1300 isn't real good.

Get yourself a nice Nvidia 1G!
Gaming performance is a lot more dependent on the video card :
1. GPU architecture; more shaders or stream processors the better.
2. GPU core clockspeed; higher is better
3. Videoram clock speed; higher is better. 256Mb ddr3 beats 512Mb ddr2

Your 2Gb ram upgrade would hardly give significant improvement. Just spend your money on video card upgrade. A 7600GT ddr3 would be better but 7900GS or x1950 Pro would be great. The faster/powerful cards could break the bank because they would need monster power supplies also.
