What did you guys spend on your computers?

I have spent up to $4000 on apple laptops and desktops, and I still have both those puters. My last couple of puters I have spent around $1500 on them. I find that the apples last longer, but the cost of upgrades and stuff for all puters gets annoying.
I spent about 1,000 on the computer itself, and a whole lot more with upgrades, personal toches, extra hard drives, CD-RW and DVD-RW's to burn my music and dvds. Ill probably upgrade my comp in 4 or 5 years. Same with my laptop, 2 or 3 years to buy a new one.
I don't have any personal one.I always use my office computer and i have got this 2 weeks before (free of cost).

I spent 1,570 for mine and i usually last about 2 yrs or less everytime i buy one.
I spent the equivalent of 1200 USD for my first computer that served me well for nearly 6 years. I recently upgraded at a cost of 700 USD.
The last system I bought cost £500 (about $1000) (not counting monitors and keyboard, which got recycled from the previous machine) and I expect it to last about two and a half years as my primary machine, after which it will get recycled as a server on the LAN for another couple of years.
hmm i got no idea how much i spent - i made it from components, so ... i guess i spent as much as u, probably a bit more. i dunno. i use my computer 24/7, and the last puter i had i used for around 5 years too. i still could do with a better video card, but for now it's good enough. it's not like i'm a hardcore gamer anyway :D
It all depends on what you use your computer for. If you only use it for word documents and simple things like that than that is a little high but it will last for as long as you need it to. I am planning on spending about $2000 on my desktop. The difference is that I am buying a high end gaming machine, and I want it to last for a couple of years before it is out dated.
I spent 2000€ for my two computer's. Each one for 1000€.
