USB ports work wit keyboard, not mouse?

On a PC, the USB keyboard works fine, the USB mouse works sometimes. This PC has also killed my USB flash drive. The PC is old, it's an e-Star. Can't find it on the net. Any ideas please.

Answers:
It could be a problem with the particular port. Try the mouse in both/all ports, and see if it works in any of them. If it does in some, but not in others, then it'll be a port problem. If it doesn't work in any of them, then it's probably just the mouse. Also, it's possible that the problem is caused by your comp only having USB 1.1 ports, while your mouse uses USB 2.0.

Anywho, those are just my guesses. Good luck! :)
UBS port works with mouse...
Just a dodgy system.
Time for recycling I reckon.
Maybe your computer just too old to support your mouse and the electric current on your USB port not stable. Hardly to say, better you just get another PC. Hope this help you.
