Whats the best video card out there?

Whats the best video card out there? I'm building a really nice gaming computer and would like to know the absolute best video card i can get

the NVIDIA 8800 was the best for a while but the ATI HD2900 is slightly better but it costs about $100 more

you want at least 2 nVidia 8800gtx cards in SLI
2 x GeForce 8800 Ultra's (612/2160) in SLI.
Any high end ATI or NVidia card is going to be good. They're all so good now, that saying this one is better is pointless, you can't tell the difference. Also, new cards come out every 2-3 months which makes getting the best video card a hobby. Just pick something that's high end that matches your price range, you won't be disappointed.
