I don't need a TV Tuner, DVD burning, or editing software. Simply want to transfer VCR tapes and analog camcorder tapes to my comp (Windows XP) through a USB for uploading purposes. What product is the best for the least cost?
Answer:
You need a device that will go from the output of your VCR to your USB port. Then you need something like Roxio or some other video software that will "capture" the raw images from the VCR into a .MOV file or some other dvd-compatible file format. Then you can burn to a DVD, or just watch on your computer monitor.
Good luck.
a company called "dazzle" makes many products for this purpose.
You just get a USB TV Tuner and play your video into it then record onto the PC
