My sound....?
Answers:
if you haven't messed with the audio settings at all, i would suspect that it may be a corrupt audio driver. i would try uninstalling the current audio driver and reinstalling a new version of it. assuming you're using xp (i don't know about vista) this can be accomplished by right clicking on my computer, and then clicking properties. then under the hardware tab click on device manager. under sounds, video and game controllers, find your audio device and right click on it. click on uninstall. you will receive a warning message, click yes. after uninstalling the driver go to the top of the device manager window, and there should be a little computer icon with a magnifying glass. click on it and if windows has drivers for your device, the hardware should be detected and driver will be reinstalled. if not, you will have to find the driver yourself. a good place to look would be the manufacturer's web site.
i hope this helps
