also sometimes it take a firm push to get them surrounded by, but not hard satisfactory to snap it... it's a tricky thing sometimes

You enjoy the wrong memory, don't try to force it . It should snap in, but if the white fastener don't reach next I'd say you own the wrong memory type. There are many different type of memory.
Take a look at your old-fashioned ram. on the stick the side that connects into the mobo within is a little slot. see if this is similar up on the new workstation. it is'nt, is it? if you have a really infirm computer the ram you hold won't fit into todays computers as most of them take ddr or ddr2 both of which are different as the notch on the sides are different. Find out exactly what type of ram is surrounded by your pc any by looking at the system specs that came near it or by removeing the ram thats within it and checking. Then goto newegg or geeks.com and buy some new run into. If you can't wait for the assignment bestbuy is cheaper than circuitcity or compusa.
