Why won't my webcam install correctly? Any ideas?

I have the disk to install it, and the webcam, first I uninstalled the program, and restarted my computer like it said, well, I installed it again, and it said make sure it's not plugged in while installing, and it wasn't. Now it just won't work? Why? Am I doing something wrong? How can I make it work?

It's a Philips PC Camera.

Answer:
I had the same problem. I got a regclean free tool to clean my registry (find it on the web). I got rid of all the webcam files that are scattered. You have to do a start/find/files&folders. Delete any folder or file there that has to do with your cam that your UNinstallation didn't do.
The regclean should take care of the rest.
Then REINstall. G'luck! As I hassled with mine for about 2 weeks.
plug the camera in your pc, right click on my computer, go to properties, click on hardware on the top, then click on device manager, then see if there is any questions marks in yellow, if there is, right click on them and click on update.
