Answer:
Your computer is most predictable compatible with dvd+r not -r. It should read aloud it on the front.
maybe your intricate drive doesnt work
It could possibly be a Windows 2000TM. Make sure that you have the requirements on the pay for of the box. If you intended that, I am not trying to call you stupid, I'm newly making sure you double checked. ^o?^o
mextell, maxell, sony is not a good medium dvd-r because the dye isn't great. Verbatim is the top selling at this moment every DVD burning company recommended it it not cheep and not to expensive its just right and buy single verbatim

Personally, I've never heard of mextell...get to be an off brand...
1. Cheap DVD-R's
2. Bad shipment of DVDs.
Check front of drive, could be drive is a slightly older "+R" model that does not support both +r and -R medium.
If the PC tells you disc is not COMPATABLE it's NOT a brand issue, it's simply it can't work next to -R mdeia
some older brand DVD R/W support singular +R or -R.( these is just a different on how the lens read the medium or simply the technology use by the brand) so, for this result you writer may only support +R medium. so buy +R media. and enjoy a good support up your movies.
