Your camera drivers aren't compatable with Vista
Do you own the drivers for your camera installed? If not check out the manufacturer's website, they should have drivers you can download.
download vista text of the driver from manufacturers website. it will work fine. here are problems with most softwares to work next to vista..
Hi,

This is really bogus. Yea, I came to impossible to tell apart exact conclusion as the other answers immediately; This must be a hardware device driver issue, but possibly not beside the camera. If Vista found the camera, the message would be different, something close to: Found New Hardware, USB composite device, or something similar. Then the new hardware wizard would start and ask you if you want to connect to the Internet to look into for drivers etc etc etc. Your system is not doing this. Your system is telling you that the USB drives are not familiar, which sounds like Vista does not hold the correct drivers for your USB controller on the motherboard. Make sure that is does by inserting a flash drive or another USB storage device and see if you seize the same message. Vista is a different ballgame and the hardware drivers for this camera or any device may not even exist yet. In this respect Vista is hugely frustrating and it seems similar to more time is spent looking for and waiting for compatible drivers. Before you give up, try powering bad the system and then plugging within the camera. Power up the system and the system may give you a break.

Good Luck
