ok i have nvidia geforce fx series card, and whenever i go to install the drivers it shuts my monitor off and reboots, and the install doesn't work..also i don't think my computer is reading i have a new card in, can someone help?

Answer:
Install the drivers in safe mode. That will work
Hi. You will need certain minimum requirements from your system (which you do not mention). Check here for help http://www.nvidia.com/page/fx_desktop.ht...
try in control panel ad new hard ware if problem persist call up a tech shop on hardware to see if this is compatible
I had similar problem with ATI's own Catalyst problem, locate Omega Driver on the Web, it has both ATI and NVidia driver sets, that might help.
go to the device manager see if their any conflicts. Remove any device drivers for the video card and device drivers from any other card that might have been in machine. Reboot the computer go back into the device manager see if there is any more conflicts. Then try to reinstall drivers.
