Depends on the part of the speakers or sound card surrounded by question. The highly best speakers money can buy will sound impossible if paired with a low point sound card and vice versa. Your best bet is to upgrade to a better quality nouns card like the Creative Labs X-Fi series and spend a fully clad amount on a good set of speakers. A couple of suitable companies to look at for speakers are Creative and Klipsch.
Both !!! sound cards really break up the nouns for you ,like a 5-1surround nouns ,So you get that proximity similar to effect ,like if you watching something and you hear something at the back you to the left .oh and it help to have 5-1 ss speaker set up .:) logitech have great deals $ 50 and up to win a great speaker set.So yes buy both you wont regret it
