How do i install a new graphics card into my dell 3100?

Answers:
First, find out what type of graphics card your computer supports. The newest type is called PCI-Express, or PCI-E. If you don't have one of these, you may have an AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port). If you have neither, then you have to deal with the oldest interface, PCI, of which all computers have a few. You can find out which port you have by looking in your manual, or going to Dell's website and going to Support and Downloads, typing in the serial number of your machine and reading the specifications.
If you plan on getting a powerful card, note that you may also have to upgrade (replace, actually) the PSU (power supply unit) in your computer, as many high end graphics cards pull a lot of power.
