I formatted my 2gb sandisk memory stick pro duo and can only fit 1.3 gb?
Answer:
1.3 seems very low, I'd expect around 1.8 though.
If you formatted it correctly there are really only two reasons why it would say less than 2GB.
1) Stick manufacturers measure size in metric GB (1000000000 bytes = 1 Metric GB) and operating systems display disk sizes in binary GB (1073741824 bytes = 1 binary GB)
2) The partition table and file table take up a small percentage of the disk space.
If it's really only showing 1.3GB I think it may not be partitioned right.
dont you just hate that...mmmm ive got a sanddisk 2gb and i can fit 1.8.it depands on how you formatted it but most of the time its never gunna be a full 2gb
