What's a cheap but still good graphics card that will work with The Sims 2: Seasons?

Well, the very first thing you need to find out is the type of slot your current video card is in (unless your motherboard has onboard video). You are going to open up the computer and along the left side of the board, you should see some slots. Your video card is going to go in one of those slots.
The brown slot is an AGP slot, therefore when you are looking for a video card, you need to make sure the box says AGP.
The white ones are PCI Slots. Once again, when you are looking for a videocard, the box needs to say PCI.
If you are looking for a good video card to last a while, go with a PCIe (PCI Express).
Now there are different sized PCI slots and it would be hard for me to show you which ones are which without showing pics. Check this website out to learn the fundementals if I haven't explained it well enough.
