Will Seagate and Western Digital Caviar make 800PB (petabyte) Hard drives within 110 years?
Could they sell that HD for less than $3000 for everyone to buy?

they will make a harddrive bigger than that within 110 years. companies are already working on this crazy format for new games the discs are like 180 gb ea. lol
It will be a lot less than 110 years. A 1PB HDD is already almost complete and as the history of digital technology has shown storage and processing speeds tend to increase by double. I'd give it 20 years for a single HDD that holds 800PB, maybe even posible less

1.Yes to the first one, they have a terabyte hd now, brought out after one year since 500Gig. Petra's in the near future,(if the planet's still here!)
2.No to the second, the price of everything will go up in relation to the economy.
