Rather than asking your question a second time, it is recommended that you put additional information in the first question. To do this, you go to "My Profile" and "My Questions";
click on the question you want to modify;
go to the pencil icon on the button bar below your Question;
and select "Add Details." -- Thanks!
some computers have a limit to how much ram can be added for example mine can only be added a gigabyte of memory MAX. i dont know about yours but that could be the problem
you have bad or incompatible ram! That is the only reason it would be doing that. Your motherboard is telling you that something is wrong, that's why its rebooting before you even see a bootup screen for your OS.
Hi jayahre b,
Put the 512 in the first slot and start the computer. If that works add the 256 and see if it works. Often times mismatched RAM does not work together.

try to use different combination of memory slots for different memory cards...
like change it to a different slot and try.. try using just the 512 and see if it works.. it could be a memory card problem but dont be certain... your mother board might not be supporting it.
all the best...
