How do you find out if you have any 2.0 usb ports on your computer?
Answers:
theres a few ways to find if you have the newer u.s.b 2.0 ports on your p.c
the first is the most obvious, plug in a usb 2.0 compatible device such as a camera and if it says "this device can perform faster" then you know you have some u.s.b 2.0 ports on your p.c,you will probally find them at the rear of your p.c,next to the rj-45 socket
secondly you could download a diagnostic program called "sisoft sandra lite" from http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html?dir... run this and look at the motherboard section of the program, this will let you know if your motherboard supports u.s.b 2.0
you could also open up your p.c case(if possible) and on your motherboard you should see at least two connectors for u.s.b expansion,it will say next to it u.s.b 2.0 or the older u.s.b 1.1
i hope this helps
good luck mate!
they usually in the back...just look.
easy way press the windows key and pause/break choose hardware device manager, goto usb controllers press the + and it should say the version either 1.0 1.1 or 2.0
look at them... they are the rectangle shaped plugs
ps
all computers have usb ports
Well there are a lot of ways. First, you need to know what a USB port looks like. Now if you're asking me what's the difference between a normal USB port and a 2.0 one, the 2.0 recieves and sends data much faster. Unless you got a really really old computer, I'm pretty sure you only have 2.0 ports. If you want more information of how a USB port looks like, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/universal_s...
If you really want to know if you have 2.0 USB ports, just go to control panel-->system-->hardware-->de... manager-->universal serial bus-->if your number starts with 2, then that's 2.0.
Ambiguous question. Do you need to know if your computer has USB Ports or if the Ports are of the 2.0 standard?
Ports for USB are usually at the back of a computer or on a Facia at the front. In general all PC`s after 2002 are of the USB 2.0 type. The best way is to RTM (Read the manual) or to plug in a USB 2.0 device and see if it is recognised by your OS and that it then functions correctly.
