I accidentally deleted my soundcard. How can I get it back on my computer without a full system restore?
Answers:
you should just be able to restart and windows will detect the soundcard again. alternatively look in your device manager and look for the soundcard. you should just be able to reinstall the card straight away.
I did the same thing once... go to add/remove programs and just add it in again.
go to the website for your make of computer and download it
get the sound card disk and reinstall. Or if you have a motherboard sound card use the motherboard CD
and if you delete more of ur windows xp files just put in the Windows CD and it will put all the data back
Try installing the driver again by going to Control panel -> Add hardware. It'll ask for the device driver. Browse for it in Microsoft website. Not sure if this works, but I guess it should.
You can usually reinstall it by going to the Add/Remove Hardware wizard in the Control Panel. If it is a special aftermarket soundcard, you might have to go to the manufacturer's website and download the driver from there.
