1.which brand better (Western digital or seagate) and how many GB need?

Answers:
1 - both are good.
2 - External Hard Drives plug into a USB port just like a memory stick. Will appear in Windows Explorer (My computer) as another drive.
3 - External Hard disk can be used on any XP or Vista PC.
Not windows 98 (no drivers).
4 - don't understand question - memory (RAM) has nothing to do with Hard Drive or External Hard drives. Two separate pieces of Hardware. Not related. -
