I bought a used Mac from my school but they didn't give me a keyboard or mouse...so I went out and i bought an Ativa Wireless optical Desktop Set and the Mac read the mouse...but it still wont read my keyboard...what do i need to do?? help please!

Did your keyboard come with a CD? If so, then the keyboard needs a driver to be installed from the CD. You could also try looking under System Preferences-->Keyboard & Mouse. I'm not sure if there's anything there to help you, but it's worth a shot. Now I have a question...how'd you type that without a keyboard?
