When you buy, please look for external case for 3.5 inch CDrom.

Yes you can. Merely purchase a 5"1/4 inch case (with a USB connection); it will come beside all the necessarry screw etc. needed to install the drive in the defence, connect the power cord and USB connection, and your set. The computer will endorse the external drive. You would still have to purchase a program approaching ROXIO or NERO to burn data to the disc. Take nurture Jim C.
if its a ide device yes if you enjoy long enough cable. if you have a usb external covering you will have to hold a converter cable I beleve belkin makes them. It converts settle to usb.
