There are some external case for CDROM and DVD drive. They are 3.5 inch.
When you buy, please look for external case for 3.5 inch CDrom.
The interface is likely to be USB.
in theory yes, but im not 100 percent sure
Yes, there are cases specifically design for IDE to USB / Firewire.
yes... as long as the case you're tryign to put it in was designed for that... most external drives are actually just internal drives put into nice external enclosures
yes they sell boxes for this conversion. Go to tigerdirect.com or cdw.com or something like that..
yes, but dragging and dropping might not work. You might have to re save the file to the the or firewire. Try both ways. And backup you files Better be safe then sorrow
Yes you can. Merely purchase a 5"1/4 inch case (with a USB connection); it will come with all the necessarry screws etc. needed to install the drive in the case, connect the power cord and USB connection, and your set. The computer will recognize the external drive. You would still have to purchase a program like ROXIO or NERO to burn data to the disc. Take care Jim C.
if its a ide device yes if you have long enough cables. if you have a usb external case you will have to have a converter cable I beleve belkin makes them. It converts ide to usb.
