How can i get my computer to recognize my speakers???
Answer:
First thing first, simple is always best... check to make sure your volume is turned up (both on the speakers and on your system tray icon [bottom right of your screen])...
If neither of these work, or you do not see your system tray icon, it sounds like it is a driver issue with your sound card. The best thing to do is to go to the manufacturers website (ex. www.dell.com, www.hp.com etc) and go to the support/drivers section. It will normally ask you for information to identify the system you are using, for example dell uses the service tag (found on a sticker on your system) or most other manufacturers use the model number.
Once you enter in this information you will get a list of drivers, select audio controller/sound card section and locate your sound card on the list. Most likely you will have the default onboard sound card so it should be easy to find (look for one that says onboard or integrated). Or if it is in your PCI slot there will probably only be one or 2 available. Once you have found your driver download it to your computer and install it (most likely an exe file). After that your speakers should be working.
Windows does not handle the speakers at all. It just deals with the sound card itself which deals with the speakers.
angel plz install driver again!
well, Win XP gets the driver automatically otherwise you have to install the driver to make it work
