Any 1 out there know how to solve the problem of where my DVD drivers have gone on windows vista home premium?

have you tried to load a USB TV CARD if so it is a known fault go to manufactuers site for the USB CARD and download the vista patch. if you have not follow previous advice from first post
check your My Computer, if its not there then the driver probaily got uninstalled, you can redownload it from the comps manufactor website, or they probaily gave you a cd when you bought it.
the drivers that run your dvd in both windows xp and vista come by default so they are allready in the os and dont need to be installed
these drivers may have accidentally been deleted or become corrupt so you need to run the add hardware option in vistas control panel,also make sure you have your vista disk(if you have one) in your dvd drive
if the dvd is still appearing in device manager then try uninstalling the device and then restarting the p.c
upon retstart vista will recognize the dvd drive as a new device and load the appropriate drivers,hopefully this should sort out the problem,however if the actual driver files in windows are corrupt then this method will not work
it may also be a good idea to try updating the drivers on-line,unlike windows xp,the online driver update is actually quite good and around 70% succesfull,however the xp driver update was pretty bad with near zero percent success rate
