i concur with xs. the nvidia 8600gt with 256 megs of gddr3 ram and 128 bit memory interface will probably suit your budget and get you plenty of performance. I would be leery of places like best buy and the likes though, because i've seen them charge exorbitant prices for things you can find cheaper online. you should get an idea of how much your prospective card costs by checking them out online first if possible.
something Nvidia, they are amazing :)
well if you are talking about a graphics card, which you probably are, you can get a nvidia card for like 150...and it is pretty good for gaming. Good Luck
8600GT
you probably should choose nvidia. their drivers are more compatible with most computers. my friend had an ati and he tried to connect it to a projector. it wouldnt work. and i used mine (it had an nvidia) and it workes fine.

also apple switched from ati to nvidia, this shows that nvidia is more capable of doing stuff, and it's better to pair with an intel chipset.

also, the mainstream in the graphics card market now, you should probably go for a high-end 256mb or low-medium 512mb with your budget. note that it's not always the more "mb" it has the better.
If you want the fastest performance. Go for the ATI Radeon X1950. If you want to play Crysis on the highest graphical settings, then like the others said, buy the 8600GT.

PS. Maximum graphical setting does not equal performance.
$150+ Budget?
That's not a budget...lol
A budget would be 60 or so
Try Nvidia they are real good company.
With your $150+ you should be able to get a great graphics card.
Looking at your specs your pc is stacked with lots.

The Gamer's Choice would be BFG 8800 series based on the nvidia GPU 8 series. Get a card no less then 512 mb on board memory. BFG has cards that have up to 768 MB of on board memory, the more the better.

Look at the 8 series -

It's no joke why there slogan is "The Gamer's Choice"
Go for an iChill 8500 GT. It's powerful, nicely designed and not that expensive. It's around $134 in my place.
