Transferring files onto an external complex drive...?

I newly bought an Iomega external hard drive for my laptop, which is a Dell Inspiron. It allows me to verbs files to the external hard drive, but when I try to verbs a large wallet to the external hard drive, it tell me I do not have ample space. I have 300GB of space on the external intricate drive open right in a minute.

The files I am trying to transfer are record television shows I record using microsoft windows medium edition. They range from 4GB - 6GB within size. Can anyone tell me why this will not permit me transfer these files from my C: to me E:? Any assistance on this matter is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Answer:
Well the first you should do is format your drives. Then in reality make sure that you own enough space (I know this sounds kinda annoying, but do it anyway). Finally, don't export the entire entry as one huge block. Send folder by folder, or show by show.
Hope this helps.
you may hold to format the drive first before you put anything on it. to do so right click on the E drive and click format
