What is the best instrument to back-up or store my digital pictures?

I enjoy a lot of digital pictures and they are starting to use up adjectives of the memory on my laptop. Other than burning the pictures to CDs, are there any other devout recommendations for pay for up/storage so I can free up space on my PC?

Answers:
I would recommend using an external hard drive, possibly something like a Western Digital My Book, which can hold 250GB , 500GB or more of notes.

Just go to http://www.westerndigital.com and look it up near, or look it up on Ebay. They are very reliable and are pretty robust.

An external hard drive is a fitting backup method because it is a fast course to transfer files.

If you want to receive the most life out of your external firm drive, only turn it on when finance up files - when not in use, disconnect it from the computer and store it away.
You can use Kodak gallery or Walgreen's. They amass your pics for you & you can create cool albums that are put together for you, plus if you have ALOT of pics, they will other send you promotions for free prints & discounts! My friends & I have that same problem too!!
Good Luck!
Why not use a USB flash drive?

You can buy an external unyielding disk which doesn't cost a fortune for a smaller gigabyte. External hard disk can stockpile thousands and thousands of pictures if compared with CDs. Or you can buy DVD burner and burn adjectives your pictures into DVDs.

DVDs have 4 gb of storage, while external complicated disk ranges from 30, 60, 80, 120 (or maybe more) gb of storage space.
The one and only way to subsidise up files (pictures) so that you free space on the hard drive is to move them to another type of storage. This can be compact disc or DVD (usually under a dollar each). It could be memory sticks (but at $40 a see that is expensive), an external USB not easy drive, or a second internal hard drive (initial investment of $80 or more - but free after that).

You can jump with an online storage, but remember that your pictures would not be available if you are somewhere short an Internet connection. But they are also available - even from another computer - if you do own Internet.

For most people the CD/DVD is the cheapest opening to do backups.
