Where should i put my computer fan?

If you could post a link to a picture of the case you have it would be great. I also need to know what type of fan it is, pci slot, or regular mountable fan. Also i would just say put it anywhere you can in the case, just remember you want air going in through the front and leaving out through the back. Also the hottest parts of your computer are the cpu and graphics cards then your hard drives. As long as you have air coming in and then out you are ok. Just let me know if you have any other questions about it.

First thing first. You did not give enough information on what type of case you have. But I will try to answer it as best as I can. Inside your computer should be an area in the back and front for case fans. If you got the right size, you should be able to fit it there. I recommend one in the front blowing in and another in the back blowing out.
The two best places are in the rear and in the front. The rear fan will help cool memory, devices, video cards and the CPU. A front fan will help cool hard drives.
Believe it or not but in my custom PC I have 10 fans including heatsink and videocard fans. If you get the right fans, the computer will stay quiet. Its all about noise levels

well you need a fan to cool the processor you need a fan to cool the powersupply and you need a fan to vent the air out of the system. the cooler you run the system the less chance of a breakdown as the metal will expand and contract and that is what will kill the electronics.. keep the temp at a maintained temp at all times for best results.. on large corporations and heavy traffic computer server rooms they use a controlled emvirement because they can not afford a computer breakdown..FROM HEAT
