Computer wont detect SD card?

My computer has an integrated SD card reader. Last time i used it, it worked fine. Now the computer wont detect it, like it's not there. The light doesn't even come on. What's wrong. How can i fix this?

Answers:
if you own 95 to 98SE, chances are you don't have the necessary drivers for that reader. for XP, it must work. Please check that SD Card Reader manual or, obtain those drivers if you're running 95-98SE.
try going into device manager and uninstalling and reinstalling it, i would contact your computers manafacturer first to see if they are special drivers needed for reinstall. Otherwise, unless uve been inside you computer recently, theres not much you can do
You may not have the card inserted correctly, or all the way. You may also have bent a pin, which would keep the card from being inserted correctly in the reader. Try a really strong flashlight and a magnifying glass to check it out.
