Try uninstalling this so called "lotus" software in add/remove programs or so a System Restore back to before it started occuring if it only just recently started.
It's not a virus or anything Lotus is program department from IBM, a main computer engineering company. If it is bugging you, uninstall it.
start>run

remove the start up programmes you don't want
Use msconfig to get rid of it.
Start -> Run -> msconfig; go to the startup tab and uncheck the application you do not want to load.
Go to the StartUp folder and right-click delete the reference to Lotus.
Start -> Programs -> Startup (then right-click to select the lotus prog and delete it)
when windows starts up it loads certain programs from the start up menu,these are not the programs but the "start up items" and thus can be removed safely
go to start>run>then type msconfig then press enter,then click on the "start up" tab,and then untick the entry for "lotus software" and anything else that you wish to remove,just try to keep anything thats to do with your anti-virus software
now click apply and then o.k,you will be prompted to restart your computer,do this and after the p.c has restarted you shouldnt get any lotus software running at the start up
also if you have finished with the program go to control panel>add/remove programs and remove the program from your p.c for good

in start menu programs you should have a folder that is call start up... have a look in there and you should have a lotus icon...just delete it and shouldn't have a problem with again...
