If i get a really good microphone would having a bad sound card ruin it?

i am planning to get this $100 microphone but i know i have a really bad sound card. would the sound card make the mic sound like a regular cheap mic?

Answers:
Yes it would, absolutely. Get a good, moderately-priced sound card, Sound Blasters are good. If you are doing professional sound editing, go for the best just a little bit more than you are willing to spend.

Then again, if you are just using it for, like, chatting or internet phone, any new Sound Blaster card should do.

BTW, how do you know it's a bad card? Maybe the mike you have now just stinks. Get the mike, check out the quality, then get the new card if you think you need it.
