Question on USB?

Is there a difference between the I/O speed for USB 2.0 and USB 3.0?

Answers:
USB 1.1 up to 12 Mbits / sec
USB 2.0 up to 480 Mbits / sec
There is no USB 3.0, but there is ''certified wireless USB'' which is capable of 480 Mbits / sec over 3 meters, and 110 Mbits / sec over 10 meters.
there is no 3.0 as far as i know. There is firewire and it is faster than usb 2.0. The 2.0 is faster than the 1.1. Pretty basic stuff lol.
Yeah like the other guy said, there is no USB 3.0 just 2.0, if you want faster go with Firewire 1394b it transfers at 800MBs, USB 2.0 transfers at around 480MBs making it faster than Firewire 1394a.
I can't verify that the specification for USB 3.0 have ever been released, but I found a site (below) that may be helpful. This one mentions some additions to 1 GB USB and wireless USB of the future. There are also lots of gossip about the need for more power for USB devices. I'll let you search for that on Yahoo's search engine. Check out

Hope this helps. Good luck!...
