How do I connect two computers from one modem to a router?

one computer is in one room with the modem and the other computer is in another room. I want to get a router so both comptuers can go online. I have a verizon DSL modem. Can I get a wireless router, (since my mom doesnt like wires) or do I have to get the one with wires? How many routers do I need? please reply ASAP thankss :-)

U need a connection with the other computer. So u have to buy a peripheral such as a USB device or Card. This is how the modem sends signals to the PC in the other room.

Make sure your internet provider is compatible with the modem before u purchase.
yes you can get a wirless router but you also need a wirless card/ adapter for the computer that in the other room and you only need one router
you need to have a hub/hab [don't know the right spelling] . so that you can connect your two computers.
