How Can I get My MacOsX 10.3.9 ibook read an external NTFS USB disk ?

Answers:
Since you're using OSX10.3, you have the ability to READ ntfs drives, but you can't write to them.

I can't remember if you need to download a driver from apple though. I'm certain you just need to mount the volume.

If you need to read and write, you'll need to format the drive to FAT32 on a windows machine.

I don't think it will. Apple Macs have a different format for their hard drives.

If you want to be able to read the drive, you'll need to format it using Mac OS X.
