Computer Desktop Memory question?
I was thinking of buying this:

but now im not sure because thats DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

it depends on if your lokking for apce or ram to help speed the pc up? Also you have to make sure youre pc can handle such fast ram chips.
As long as you dont MIX different types of memory units you will be fine. If you mix them you can experience freeze-ups and stuff.
More memory heldp your computer run bigger programs faster, more hard-drive helps you store more things.
DDR 2 modules will not fit in a DDR slot. They are the same size but the notch in the bottom of the module are in diffrent places so they can not be placed in by mistake.
Also DDR chips have 184 pins while DDR2 have 240 pins
If you want more space on your computer then you should add a hard drive, if you want your computer to run faster you should get memory. The memory that will work should be displayed in the motherboard specifications, you are looking fora 240 pin ddr2. If you don't have the motherboard info check on the old memory if its a ddr1 or ddr2, or you can check it on the web..
