Ever since my computer crashed and I had to reinstall my windows operating system on my dell computer, my speakers are not working. looks like the drivers are not installed. can someone walk me through this please?

Best bet is contact dell support for full advice, or get the drivers from www.dell.com support and downloads section.
Enter your model No or TAG No from back of machine to find correct drivers.
