My speakers aren't giving off any sound?

I was uninstalling a few programs the other day, and then I restarted my computer. I opened up my iTunes, and I couldn't hear any sound! Then I opened Windows Media Player, and it says that I might not have a sound device installed on my computer. The speakers I currently have are the Logitech X-540. Yes, I've been to the site and no, they don't have the sound driver for me to download. I've tried the whole "system restore" shtick, but I can't go back farther than yesterday. I've gone to the "device manager" and that didn't help me either...Any advice? ]:

Answer:
Speakers don't have drivers, sound card's do, better check your sound card and get searching.
Uh oh!
you do need to reinstall sound card. and there are drivers, you just need to find them
..Lets see...its not the speaker u need to install the driver
what matters is the sound card u have...if u dont have a sound card...try installing the sound in the motherboard...u shud have the motherboard cd...
