How can I move the partition so I can have more memorie on my c drive?

Where do I go to move the partition on my computer??

Answer:
You do not move your partition to free up memory. A partition resides on a hard drive, while memory is a physical device that is a temporary storage area utilized by the CPU (processor). Information in memory is lost when the computer is restarted or shut down. It sounds to me like you are confusing memory with what is known as a page file or swap file. Right click on your C: drive and select Properties then run Disk Cleanup to free up some disk space. In the end, you may need to install a second hard drive if you cannot free up enough drive space. Look at sites like newegg, tigerdirect and geeks for the best hard drive prices.
you dont move partition to make more space, you expand it if there is unpartioned space.
in your case - looks like you will need either clean up your hard drive or buy external one
you cant move a partition you can only make it or resize it if it is more space you need you might want to get a new hard drive and install that in your pc as a slave drive that way you dont mess up your windows partition
it is a solution but its a bit long process
save ur data on another disk
and partition ur hard disk again an
when u going to do that
start fdisk: in commond prompt
when it'll ask u about primary drive give it size 50%.
ok u can ask me more but i hope u can do that...when u run that
I think ur computer is performing poor due to less disk space on may be "C" drive or any other reason. Well actually resizing the partitions with windows installed is actually very difficult. Slight amount of mistake can damage the file system and ur comp might get crashed. There is one software called Partition Magic. But this is not the free software and using this software u need some knowledge about harddisk layout. So even if u want u can try google it and download that softaware."PARTITION MAGIC". look...there's an easy solution
there's a free software by linux called gparted...and u dont have to have linux to use it.its a live cd...so its quite simple.
its about 30MB...its an iso image file...just burn it to a cd
u can find the live cd her...its called gparted-livecd-0.3.4-7.iso
the link is:http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles...
now...let ur pc boot from cd...with this cd inside...it will run something...then select what driver u have...or select auto detect.then after some trivial settings like language ,country.u'll see the graphical interface...
there u will see a rectangular bar representing ur harddisk and its partitions.now u want to increase c: ...so just click on d:...find the move or resize option and ur d will be reduced...now c:should increase...if it doesnt .the space would be unpartitioned...so click on c...again resize and this time move right...after this click on apply.it will do ur work...then exit...after this now remove the cd and boot from hd...u'll get what u wanted...anyway the graphical part is so easy that u'll easily understand.
