Third-Party Graphics Card?

How do I know if I own a third-party graphics card or not? I want to install the latest performance of my graphic cards (82945G Chipset Family/Intel), but I don't know if the hottest update will harm my cpu, since I don't know if I come upon the requirements.

If you are just updating the driver for your graphics card after go ahead and do it if the system won't boot next turn it off by holding within the power switch for 5 seconds and afterwards turn it back on beating f8 over and over and select last specified good configuration. Good Luck HTH.
You wont injure your computer by downloading drivers. The drivers will simply not work if they're not compatiable. Best thing to do is turn ahead and download your drivers that you're looking to get. But, create a restore point beforehand you install. this way, if something does take place.. You can log into windows surrounded by safe-mode and undo the change if need be.
