How many Meg in a giga byte?

Answer:
1024mb = 1gb
1000 Mega bytes = 1 Giga byte
1000
1 GB = 1024 MB
1024 mega bytes
1024
1024
There are 1024 MB (Mega Byte) of 1 GB (Giga Byte) --> usually used to measure disk capacity.
But, there are 1000 Mb (Mega Bit) of 1 Gb (Giga Bit) --> usually used to measure transfer speed, such as modem speed.

Fyi, 1 Byte = 8 Bit.

If you go my theory in books

1024 MB = 1 GB

But things are different in real life.

Hard Disk manufacturers take 1000 MB = 1GB

So when you install a 40GB Hard Disk in your Computer your Windows would take in at 38 GB

But RAM Manufacturers take it as 1024 Only.
1000 MB = 1 GB
